Understanding Customer Psychology which I paraphrased to be UNDERSTANDING CUSTOMER BEHAVIOUR
What is Customer Psychology?
Customer Psychology is the study of howncustomers think, feel and behave when making purchasingdecisions. It involves understanding the cognitive, emotional, and social factors that influence customer behaviour.
1: Why is Understanding Customer Psychology Important?
By understanding customer psychology, businesses can:
2: The Buying Process: Awareness, Consideration, Decision
The three main stages are:
The buying process is a series of stages that customers become aware of a productor service. They may see an Advertisement, hear about it from a friend, or stumble upon it whilke browsing online. At this stage, customers are not yet considering a purchase, but they are becoming familiar with the brand.
In this stage, customers start evaluating the product or service, They may read reviews, compare features, and weigh the pros and cons. Customersare considering whether the product or service meets their needs
This is the final stage where customers make a purchasing decision. They have evaluated theirn options and are ready to buy. At this stage, businesses need to ensure that the purchasing process is smooth and convenient.
3: Cognitive Biases and Heuristics in Decision-Making
Cognitive biases and Heuristics are mental shortcuts that customers use to make decisions. These biases can influence customer behavior and purchasing decisions:
Finally
4: Understanding Customer Needs and Pain Points
Customers needs and pain points are essential to understand when developing marketing strategies.
Customer needs refer to the underlying motivations and desires that drive customer behavior.
Pain points, on the other hand, refer to specific problems or challenges that customers face
That's all for tonight's session fam.
I'll be unlocking the group to entertain questions.
Just 3 questions and we call it a night.
What do you have to say to people buying a similar particular product for higher prices even when there's a cheaper alternative of equal quality.
And as a business owner, who's in competition, what would you advise?, Will you advise that we should also increase our prices?
At the same time
When you sell or offer services for a higher price and people keep going to someone who does it cheaper even for the same quality, Would you advise we lower our price??
How to handle customers who love your product but hesitate to buy? And how to encourage repeat purchases without appearing pushy?

Effective communication and persuasion in sales
With Social Media and digital marketing
Alright
Before we dive right in, let me quickly tell us a short story
A young entrepreneur launches an online store selling handcrafted accessories.
She has a great product, competitive pricing, and a beautifully designed website. She spends months running ads, listing product features, and promoting discounts.
But the result? Zero sales.
Customers scroll past her posts. Her ads get clicks, but no conversions. Her website gets visitors, but they don't buy.
Frustrated, she tries a new approach. Instead of just showcasing products, she shares her story:
"I started crafting jewelry at 16. My first piece was a bracelet I made for my mom—it wasn't perfect, but she wore it every day. That's when I realized: jewelry isn't just decoration—it holds memories. That's why I create handcrafted accessories—so that every piece tells a story."
Within a week, sales skyrocket. Customers don't just buy her jewelry—they buy her story.
End.......
Nothing much about the story
It's just to let us know the power of storytelling
✔ Did you notice the difference? The product stayed the same. The marketing stayed the same. The only thing she changed was adding an emotional connection—and that's what turned 'no sales' into a thriving business now
✔ People don't buy products. They buy stories, emotions, and transformations.
Alright, let's dive back
We start things off with Storytelling which is a key factor in communicating as a business owner
Storytelling is not just for entertainment, it's a sales strategy
When a product or service is linked to a compelling narrative, customers feel emotionally connected and see the needs to buy
I bet you'll have seen so many posts maybe from bloggers or business owners, you'll see the start of something like a story, and you click see more then read to the end, that's what it's like
Normally, humans love stories, let's say most lol 😆
Have you been discussing and posting about your services or product since all this while and no sales ??¿
Work on your storytelling skills, you'll see effects
Instead of selling a product, sell the transformation, show how it improves a customer's life
It seems people have gone to sleep 😴
Let's continue anyways
Thanks to those reacting,
So let's continue
We talked about storytelling and how it can boost your sales,
I wouldn't want to waste some time on it as I believe we would have learned about it already
If you haven't, feel free to come my dm for more infos
That's one point
Now let's talk about BUILDING TRUST AND CREDIBILITY WITH CUSTOMERS
Trust is the foundation of sales, without it, selling becomes harder
Picture it, you see someone you don't know from Adam online and the person said he will offer a service for you or sell you a product, and it requires money.
Will you just send that person money direct??
No, you'll still be like, what prove do this guy have that he's legit???
Of course, you wouldn't send the money just like that
Especially in this era, where making money is now like going to war 😅
Nobody will want to just give someone they don't know or trust their money
That's why you have to build trust and credibility
Now, what are the things that people or customers do check to see if you're legit??
That is to confirm that you're legit
The first of the first, that happens most is check your profile
Yes, that's the fastest way
They check your profile, they be like, let's see what he's got on his profile
You now as a business owner, your profile picture is a picture of dog or food, who will take you serious???
As a business owner, you should have your professional picture or your logo as your profile picture not the picture of a dog or celebrity or cars
That's where profile optimization comes in
It's one of the factor in building trust and credibility
What is in your profile??, What kind of posts are seen on your timeline???, What kind of pictures is in your cover photo and profile picture??? And all that
If you want to be serious with your business, first set your profile well and clear all unnecessary posts in your timeline
Anything not related to your business should not been seen on your timeline
Your profile, your cover photo, if you're not using your picture, give a graphic designer to design a professional cover photo for you
Don't be selfish to your business, spend on your business
And that includes getting a professional business flyer
In addition, websites also works very much, instead of customers checking your posts, they just go to your website directly and view everything they need to know, what brands you've worked with, your qualifications and all other things, your years of experience and so many other things
You may not have money for websites as a starting up business, like you are just starting out your business, but put it in mind that you'll get one once you're able to do so
If you have the costs, kindly try get a website, it builds trust and credibility
> I can simply help you with your flyer and website at a time, just holla, I got a discount for you, for sake of the webinar, just last for 48hours📌
Alright, so we say getting a website also adds to making people trust you
How???
For example, a portfolio website for your business will include informations about your business, how many years you've been in the industry, brands you've worked with, testimonials, works and many other things
Tell me how a customer will see a portfolio website of yours with all these infos and not trust you????
That said, after optimizing your profile, getting a professional business flyer and website
There are still some strategies to use in order to keep the energy growing
1. Be transparent about product capabilities, what the product can really solve, don't lie about what a product can do
If your product can only do 10 things, don't say that it does 30 things
Be so much transparent and about your products
2. Use testimonials and reviews to validate credibility, by posting reviews and testimonials of clients you've already worked with, it gives new clients the peace that some people have deal business with you before and there was no problem
The same way we want to download an app from play store
And once we see like 5 good reviews, we download the app direct
That's same way it happens in business
3. Speak directly to customer's need, customers trust brands that speaks directly to their needs
Speak directly the customer's needs
Literally, these strategies now
The testimonials and reviews, and showing what your product can do
All this can be embedded in a professional website and that will be there for a long time, you wouldn't have to be reposting everytime
_____________
Now that we've play the soft games on how we will get customers to buy
I would like to quickly share how to persuade stubborn customers 😁
Those that are hesitating to buy, huh
I'm going to share only two points,
1. SCARCITY:
Limited time offers create urgency
This thing works so much
If you don't know, it works
When you have a product to sell, create urgency with it
Something like, this product will sell for $200 for only two days and there are only few of them in stocks, you get??
Even when you have them in stock, post like they'll soon be out of stock
Number 2:
2. RECIPROCITY: Giving value even before asking for a sale
Keep giving values to potential and already customers
It'll help you alot
People value values
Let's move to the next topic
Of
SOCIAL MEDIA AND DIGITAL MARKETING
Seriously, not all platforms works for every business, you need to choose the right ones based on audience behaviors and platforms structures
Now, I didn't say that any platform is not good oo
But as a video creator offering video creations as services, you should know that TikTok would be suitable for you, other platforms too could be useful buh TikTok and other mainly-video platforms would work best, like YouTube too
I believe you get my point 👈
One true fact????
Videos content gets 1200% more shares than texts and images, most of the time
If you're planning on using video to advertise your product or services, do it with strategy
If you're planning to use texts and images, do it with strategies
And always remember, expertise doesn't matter here, your consistency matters, alot
Re-read that again and digest it
Now that we've did all to get customers, how do we let them keep coming back???
I'm gonna give three notable points about it and we end things tonight 🤝
1. Stay connected with clients: personalized emails, follow ups check-ins and exclusive offers will help you
(You see why you need a website, because it's from your website that you'll get customers emails to do email marketing with them))
2. Over deliver: deliver very well, if a customer see you did something wella, there's something that'll always push them to refer you,
If a client give you work to do, do it very wellz there's More chances of getting them to refer you to others
3. Continue providing values: educational contents, support, it can strengthen loyalty
(You saw a customer doing his birthday, you can get into his DM and wish him a happy birthday and they'll still have you in mind))
Learn to create irresistible offers too, you really can't become an expert with just this texts, go online and get a resource to help you
Go get a mentor and watch courses or buy one if needed
Never to forget,
THE WHOLE YOU EBOOK which sold few months back is still very much available and will so be of help to your business, reach me if you would like to get the book
Well, I'm still a small boy saying what I know and sharing what I've got 😤🥲
I'm not perfect buh I still want everybody in the business industry to really come out big
Let's stop here tonight and I hope we had a great night
